Our Experience

Took me a while to decide on this RUITOOL Japanese Hand Saw because I've always been loyal to my old Western saws. But after seeing how smoothly it handled intricate cuts in my neighbor's workshop, I figured it was time to give a ryoba a try.

First off, let me say that the blade is incredibly flexible and sharp right out of the box. It glided through pine boards like they were butter - my minor critique here is that I wish I'd had more control over the depth of cut at times, but that's probably just due to my inexperience with this style.

What really impressed me was how easy it was to switch from making push cuts to pull cuts. The dual edges are perfectly balanced, and I found myself reaching for it over my other saws more often than not.

All in all, I'm glad I took the plunge with this RUITOOL saw. It's a solid tool at a great price, and I can see myself getting years of use out of it.
