Not gonna lie, I almost didn't buy this Rubens Oil Pastels set due to its price point. I've had mixed experiences with other budget art supplies. But I took a chance and ordered it, curious about these 72 vibrant colors.

After testing them for nearly a month, I must say, they've blown me away. The colors are indeed vibrant, even more so than some pricier brands I've tried. My favorite has been this deep, rich blue – it's stunning on its own and mixes beautifully with other hues.



However, while the texture is creamy as advertised, there's a slight inconsistency among some shades. A few are harder and less blendable than others. It's not a deal-breaker, but I've noticed it when trying to create smooth gradations.

Overall though, for the price, these Rubens Oil Pastels offer fantastic value. If you're looking for a budget-friendly set with an impressive color selection, give this one a shot – just be aware that some colors might require a bit more patience during blending.
