I finally decided to try this Iwatani PRO2 butane torch after my sister raved about it while making her signature crème brûlée. It arrived in a sleek black packaging that felt sturdy and professional. After filling it up with butane (which was quick and easy), I was impressed by the adjustable flame – it's not just a simple on/off switch, you can actually shape the flame to suit your needs. Brushing the flame over my sugar-coated custards created a perfect, even caramel crust every time. However, I did find that filling up the butane can be a bit messy if you're not careful. But hey, for a flawless crème brûlée every time, a little cleanup is worth it!
