The specs caught my attention because these SOLPEX solar deck lights promised warm, non-dazzling light and automatic operation. I purchased a 16-pack for $19.98 to test on my backyard stairs over a week-long period. My research involved daily observations of their charging efficiency under varying sunlight conditions, as well as checking their durability against weather elements.
What impressed me was the consistency in brightness despite fluctuations in sunlight. Even after three days of mostly cloudy skies, they maintained a steady glow each evening. I particularly appreciated the warm light temperature; it provided ample visibility without being harsh or intrusive on my neighbors.
However, one minor critique is that while the lights are weatherproof and durable, the plastic pins used for installation felt slightly flimsy. After a week of use, some showed slight bending but remained functional.

About 2-1/2 years ago I bought these Solar Patio Lights for mu backyard fence. They are durable however, the Texas Summers gave them a beating and while they were still lighting up the lenses became discolored. These are great to light paths and lift lightning, but you’ll still need some type of light to fully brighten the space! It was easy to put together, and it only took 10 min. We did not bolt them in, and the 3M tape is still working fairly well.
This is the second set I have purchased. Previous set, bought about 2 years ago and just now installed, was easy to install and all lights worked. I was so happy with that, that I bought a second set. This set (subject of this review) was remarkably different. It was difficult to install. Screws have no bite so you have to predrill holes. Additionally one light doesn’t work! I’m buying a rechargeable aaa battery and hope that fixes it. But I shouldn’t have to.UpdateNew battery didn’t fix this.
Easy to install and works as advertised. Light level is not very bright if one is having any gathering, you will need additional light but aesthetically, it looks nice. For the price, quality is good and so far working without issues.
The lights are cute, ease of use. However 3 of them stop working within less than 72 hrs, they charged through solar power but wont really charge the light looks fainted by now. So they have no durability
