I was skeptical at first about this Lodge skillet; I've had cast iron before that were a pain to maintain. But after using it daily for almost a month, I'm impressed. The seasoning is excellent out of the box - no sticky mess like other brands I've tried.

I love how it holds heat evenly, from cooking eggs in the morning to searing steaks at night. It even handles high oven temperatures like a champ with no warping.

My only minor critique is that the teardrop handle gets quite hot and can be uncomfortable to hold without an oven mitt. But that's a small price to pay for such a quality pan. I'm now a believer in Lodge's cast iron.
