Not gonna lie, I almost didn't buy this Aqara Smart Hub M100. I mean, $25 for something that's essentially a tiny box? Seemed like an expensive paperweight. But I gave in, mostly because of its Matter compatibility and Thread support.

After setting it up, my doubts started to fade. It integrated seamlessly with my existing Aqara devices, no issues there. The real test came when I connected some non-Aqara gadgets; the M100 handled them all like a champ. My favourite thing? How it automatically assigned IP addresses to new devices – no more manual fiddling!

Now, here's where I get a bit nitpicky: the design feels a tad flimsy. It doesn't bother me much since it's out of sight, tucked away in a cabinet, but if you're one for aesthetics, this might bug you.

All in all, though, the Aqara Smart Hub M100 has proven its worth. It's not just a pretty face; it's a powerful little workhorse that makes my smart home run smoother than ever. Well played, Aqara.
