The specs caught my attention because API's Stress Coat promised to create a protective coat around fish scales to prevent pathogens from entering, along with removing chlorine and chloramine. Being a meticulous researcher, I cross-referenced it with other products, ensuring it was indeed beneficial for my tropical community.

First off, the 16-ounce bottle lasted me nearly two weeks, treating 20 gallons daily, which was impressive given its reasonable price point. The formula is quite versatile too; it can be used directly in the aquarium or via water changes.

I particularly appreciated how Stress Coat's effectiveness could be visually verified. After adding it to my aquarium, I noticed a visible sheen on the water surface, indicating the product was active and working as intended.

However, one minor observation was that while the bottle is clearly labeled with dosage instructions for both freshwater and saltwater tanks, there's no mention of dosage for brackish water environments. As someone who keeps both tropical and marine species, I found this oversight somewhat confusing.
