The specs caught my attention because they promised a lightweight yet stable camera mount tripod at an affordable price point. After testing the Amazon Basics 50-inch model for several weeks, I found it to be sturdy enough for my Sony α7 III mirrorless camera. The quick-release plate made attaching and detaching my camera a breeze, which was particularly useful during quick setup changes outdoors. However, while the central column can convert to a monopod, I found that its stability decreases somewhat when fully extended. Overall, though, this tripod offers excellent value for money considering its portability and functionality.
