Not gonna lie, I almost didn't buy this TP-Link Tapo Smart Dimmer Plug KIT because I thought it was just another gimmicky smart home gadget that wouldn't live up to its promises. But at under $20, I decided to give it a shot.

First off, setup was surprisingly easy. The dual outlets are handy – one for my lamp and another for our small coffee maker – and the wireless dimmer button is genius, allowing anyone in the room to adjust brightness without unlocking their phone. It's worked like a charm every time.



My only minor gripe? Sometimes when I turn off both devices using the button, the lamp turns back on after a few seconds (which isn't an issue with the coffee maker). Not a deal-breaker though, as it hasn't happened consistently enough to cause any real trouble. Overall, this little gadget has been a pleasant surprise and actually improved our daily routine.
