The large LCD display is indeed a standout feature - its backlight makes readings clear even in dim light or smoke-filled grills. It's accurate, responding quickly with consistent readings across multiple probes. However, I noticed that the probe tips can be a tad fragile; I've managed to bend one slightly while removing it from a tight spot. Overall, for $20, this is an excellent value, serving my needs perfectly as a detail-oriented cook who appreciates precision without breaking the bank.
