Our Experience

Took me a while to decide on an electric planer, but after weeks of research, I settled on the SKIL PL201201. As a first-time buyer, I was impressed by its durability and ease of use right out of the box. The 6.5 amp motor provided smooth cuts even on hardwoods like oak.

I especially liked the dust control system. It wasn't perfect - I still needed to wear a mask sometimes - but it did make a noticeable difference, keeping my workspace cleaner than expected.

My minor critique? The depth adjustment knob could be more intuitive. It took me a few tries to figure out how to set it precisely. Overall though, for the price and performance, this planer is a great buy for DIY enthusiasts like me.
