Prior to this pair, I bought him a very expensive pair of shoes that start with a H and end with an A. Those fell apart and were horrid. These shoes are affordable, durable, and easy to put on and off! For reference, my dad is 75 and walks to the mailbox at a snails pace. Purchased size 11 originally and had to return for 11 (extra) wides.The fit on these shoes was exceptionally narrow and squished my feet on the sides.I have never bought a pair of 11 wide in any shoe maker before, including Skechers.Regular sizes should be called 11 narrow and (extra) wides should be called regular 11's.Having said that, the (extra) wides are normal size, very comfortable, great cushioning, easy to slip into, lightweight, and seem to have a good grip.
