Love the self empty feature (have to empty maybe 2x a month due to having 2 four-legged kiddos and birds). This vacuum does a super job picking up dog hair and I have a LOT of dog hair (2 bit long haired dogs). I vacuum daily. The canister is large. The battery lasts long enough for me to vacuum all downstairs surfaces. The attachments are easy to use. On the down side, the instructions that come with the vacuum are not clear. I couldn't figure out where to recharge the battery. The website on the instruction sheet was wrong. But--Amazon's customer help to the rescue. Super customer service
