Not gonna lie, I almost didn't buy this Orange Ninja sharpener. Forty bucks seemed steep for something that looked like a cheap toy. But my knives were dull, and I was sick of paying to have them professionally sharpened. So, I took a chance.

I've been using it daily for about three weeks now. It's surprisingly sturdy; the plastic feels robust, not flimsy. My initial doubt - that it wouldn't work on serrated blades - was unfounded. It actually did a great job on my bread knife, gliding effortlessly over the scallops.

However, I noticed that the slots for the regular knives can be a tight fit if your blade is extra wide. It's not a deal-breaker, but it does take some finesse to guide the blade through without applying too much pressure. All in all, though, this little gadget has been a game-changer in keeping my knives sharp between professional sharpenings. I'm impressed.
