Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium

Our Experience

We go through things quickly in our household – kids clicking away at games, me juggling work documents. So when Windows 7 started slowing down after five years, it was time to upgrade. I went for Home Premium, as it seemed like a good balance between features and cost.

I've got to say, the speed difference is like night and day. It boots up in half the time and multitasking feels smoother. My son's even stopped complaining about his games lagging.



But there's one thing that bugs me – the new interface took some getting used to. I'd been so accustomed to Windows 7's classic look, the modern design felt a bit jarring at first. It's not a deal-breaker, but it did slow down my adjustment period.
