Not gonna lie, I almost didn't buy this Metabo HPT palm nailer. I've had my share of cheap tools that barely lasted a season, and this one wasn't exactly expensive. But I needed something reliable for my DIY deck project, so I took a chance.

After three weeks of using it daily, I'm pleasantly surprised. It's surprisingly robust; the magnesium body feels solid and durable. The thing that really impressed me was how consistently it drove 3-inch nails into pressure-treated joists. No misfires, no jams - just smooth, powerful drives every time.

However, I did notice that the air fitting is a tad too close to the handle. When using it at awkward angles, my hand would occasionally brush against it, which can be uncomfortable after prolonged use. But that's a minor gripe compared to how well it performs.

I'm not usually one for brand loyalty, but if Metabo HPT keeps this up, I might become a convert.
