Not gonna lie, I almost didn't buy this. Diamond painting seemed like a fad, and I wasn't convinced these cheap beads could create anything worth framing. But, at under $16 for 59 pieces, I decided to give it a shot.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the beads. They're smooth, uniform, and reflect light beautifully. The LED light pad is bright and even, making it easy to place each bead accurately. The whole process became strangely therapeutic, like a grown-up version of connect-the-dots.

The tray for holding the paint could be deeper though. Mine spilled over when I accidentally knocked it. Not a deal-breaker, but something to consider if you have clumsy kids helping out.

All in all, this kit is great value for money. It's kept me busy on rainy days and resulted in some surprisingly lovely art pieces. My initial doubts? Gone with the first bead I placed.
