Our Experience

I spent hours comparing options before settling on the JOBY GorillaPod Compact Tripod Kit. Its versatility was immediately evident - the flexible legs can wrap around poles or trees, and the ballhead allows for swift adjustments. I tested it with my Sony A6000 over three weeks, carrying it along on hikes and city tours.

I appreciated the quick release plate's ease of use; once locked in, my camera felt secure even when the tripod was at precarious angles. The legs' rubberized grips ensured a firm hold on various surfaces, including wet ones during a sudden downpour.



However, a minor observation was that the ballhead tension knob could loosen over time, requiring occasional tightening mid-shoot. It wasn't a deal-breaker but did disrupt my workflow occasionally. Overall, though, for its price and adaptability, this GorillaPod has been an excellent addition to my photography kit.
