I wasn't expecting much at this price point, but I'm pleasantly surprised by my Granddaughter Hug Ring from Hope Rings. The design is simple yet elegant, and it arrived polished and shiny – looked more expensive than $39.99. It's a thoughtful gift for my granddaughter, who loves hugs almost as much as I do. The ring fits comfortably too; the 304 stainless steel band doesn't pinch or irritate my fingers after wearing it daily for two weeks.

However, while it's advertised as 999 pure silver, I noticed a slight discoloration on the hug charm after taking off my wedding ring to wear this one. It might be due to some chemical reaction with my skin or another jewelry piece; nothing a little polishing can't fix though.

All in all, it's a great value for money and makes for a heartfelt grandparent-grandchild keepsake.
