I already have an expensive electric espresso grinder, I didn't buy this for grinding coffee. I make my own spice blends for grilling/BBQ, and pepper mills don't do a great job with lighter spices such as pepper flakes or dried garlic. They get don't get grabbed by the mill's burrs because they're too light, and the burrs are too small. Does the job nicely but it's just too much work to yield enough ground beans. I will probably keep it and use it to ground spices like pepper instead
Works really well once you get it adjusted correctly. Check the nut on the bottom if you are having problems getting the type of grind you want. Once set up, it works well without much effort. I like this for home use and travel.
