I was skeptical at first about these Clinique Almost Lipstick Tinted Lip Balms - the 'almost' lipstick claim seemed too good to be true. I mean, how could a lip balm really provide the pigment and staying power of a lipstick? But after testing all three shades for nearly a month, I'm pleasantly surprised.

The Black Honey shade is my standout - it's an incredibly flattering, deep nude that gives my lips just enough color without looking like I'm wearing anything at all. It glides on smoothly and leaves my lips feeling moisturized all day long.

However, while the formula is indeed balmy, I found myself reapplying more often than I would with a regular lipstick due to its lighter coverage. But then again, that's the price you pay for having such a nourishing product on your lips. All in all, these Almost Lipsticks have become my daily go-to, and I'm now a believer in their near-lipstick magic.
