For the price, this is impressive. The Caran d'Ache Classic Neocolor II Aquarelle set has been a delight to use over the past three weeks. Each color is vibrant and rich, just as you'd expect from Swiss-made art supplies. I particularly loved how well they blended on my watercolor paper, creating smooth gradients that made my landscapes truly sing.

However, while I appreciate the sleek design of these wax oil pastels, I found them slightly harder to control than other brands I've used. They're not crumbly by any means, but there's a bit less give than I'm accustomed to, which took some getting used to. Nevertheless, given their impressive color payoff and reasonable price point, they're now a staple in my art supply kit.
