Our Experience
My friend raved about his Amazon Fire TV, so when I decided to upgrade mine, I figured I'd give it a shot. I was blown away by the picture quality - it's like my movies and shows finally got a proper invite to the party. The colors are vibrant, blacks are deep, and every scene feels more immersive with that 4K QLED display.
One thing that really stood out was the gaming mode. As someone who enjoys casual gaming on my TV, the 144Hz refresh rate made a noticeable difference in fluidity and responsiveness. I could actually see myself getting more into console gaming now!
However, there's one minor thing I've noticed: sometimes the Alexa integration feels a tad too eager. She'd chime in even when I wasn't addressing her, which was slightly annoying at first.

Slow Slow Slow is the Fire TV OS on this TV. Laggy just like all the other 2024 Fire TV models. Doesn't work well with the SlingTV app. If you are watching a SlingTV channel and command "ALEXA, TURN OFF THE TV", the TV turns off (picture goes black) but the sound from the SlingTV channel still plays on for several seconds. I won't review the picture quality because I can't get past the poor sluggish os performance. I do wish Amazon would fix this laggy menu system issue because all the 2024 Fire
So far working very good. Have a fire tv cube, and internet Direct TV. Picture is awesome. Have an ELED LG TV, not as great as that, but close. Has only been up for a few days, kind of a remote issue thought with the Fire TV box, has a short cut key for Direct TV, but not working correctly, will have to force the TV to forget that remote, then go to the box and have it control the TV, hope that works.
