Not gonna lie, I almost didn't buy these earplugs. $35 seemed steep for something so small and disposable. But after a month of construction work, my ears were ringing constantly, and I was desperate. Boy, am I glad I took the plunge.

First off, they're not your average foam plugs. These 3M babies are made from a material that's soft yet durable, providing excellent noise reduction. They're so comfortable, I often forget I'm wearing them - which is saying something considering how sensitive my ears are to foreign objects.

On the downside, they do take some getting used to. Inserting them correctly took me a few tries; it's easy to end up with one earplug fully expanded while the other is still in its compressed state. But once you figure out the trick (use your thumb and index finger to roll them into a thin cylinder before placing them in your ear canal), it's smooth sailing.

Despite my initial reservations, these earplugs have proven their worth. They're not just protecting my hearing; they're making my workdays more comfortable too. And at $35 for 200 pairs, the price doesn't seem so steep anymore. I'm a believer now - though I still wish there was a bulk discount option!
